Chacewater Players

Chacewater Players is a long-established amateur dramatic society, founded in 1978 and based in Chacewater. For more than four decades, the group has staged a wide range of productions, including pantomimes, plays and musicals, becoming a familiar and much-loved part of village life.
Now performing in the modern Chacewater Village Hall, the Players benefit from improved facilities and have continued to invest in the quality of their productions. Over the years, members have enhanced the hall’s lighting, sound and stage arrangements, with current plans to upgrade stage lighting to energy-efficient LED systems to help reduce the group’s carbon footprint.
The society is run entirely by volunteers and draws on a mix of experienced and new performers, directors, choreographers and backstage crew. Chacewater Players is particularly proud of its tradition of home-written pantomimes, created and performed by local talent.
New members are always welcome, whether interested in acting, writing, directing, technical roles or helping behind the scenes.
