Help Us Fund the Future of Chacewater

Chacewater is full of ideas — from improving community spaces and supporting local groups to organising events and developing new facilities.

To help turn these ideas into reality, Chacewater Community is forming a Fundraising Committee, and we’re looking for people who would like to be involved.

Fundraising isn’t just about asking for money. It can include researching grants, helping shape project proposals, supporting events, building partnerships with local businesses, and bringing creative ideas to the table. There are roles for people with all kinds of experience, and support will be available.

You don’t need specialist knowledge — just an interest in helping the community move projects forward.

Initially, the Fundraising Committee will be constituted under Chacewater Recreation Ground Trust, and its focus will be to help complete the Recreation Centre project and Recreation Ground refurbishment works. You can view the Terms of Reference for the Committee here.

Over time, it is expected that the committee will have a broader remit to:

• explore funding opportunities for community projects;
• support local groups and initiatives;
• help plan fundraising activities and events; and
• contribute ideas and practical skills.
